This coming of age story captures the moment in time when a child discovers that the outside world doesn’t always view him or his family the way that he does. A boy and his father take their handmade baskets into the city to sell, and the boy is called a ‘hillbilly’ by someone in town. This causes him to question his own future as a basket-maker.
