2015 marks the seventh year that Peter Pollay and the Posana staff will graciously host a fundraiser for ASAP’s Growing Minds program. On Thursday, September 24, Posana will once again provide a 100 percent local menu with proceeds benefiting the Growing Minds Farm to School program. When asked why he supports Growing Minds, Posana owner Peter Pollay replies, “Understanding where your food comes from is very important for anyone, but especially young children, to know. I give to the Growing Minds program because I think every child should be provided with local food and farm to school experiences.”
So, if you agree with Peter, come out and show your support for the Growing Minds program. Growing Minds has been a leader in the farm to school movement since it began in 2002, providing resources and support so that thousands of children across the Appalachian Grown™ region are enjoying edible gardens, farm field trips, cafeteria taste tests, and local food served in their school lunch. But we need your support, and we need you to show up at Posana and join Peter for dinner.
