Safe, Fun and Educational Farm fieldtrips
Warren Wilson College Garden Cabin
February 3rd 1-5pm
Designed for farmers and teachers, this ASAP workshop will offer tools and resources to expand the potential for farm field trips. Farmers will gain resources and strategies for attracting and working with school groups, as well as tools for implementing fieldtrip activities that are correlated with curriculum. Teachers will be introduced to the wide range of activities and learning experiences that can be offered on fieldtrips to local farms, as well as pre and post activities for their classes. Offering this workshop for teachers and farmers together will provide the opportunity to learn from different perspectives and build beneficial working relationships.
