Kids' Answers To Garden Questions

2nd Graders

Question was "What have you learned from the garden?"

  • The foods taste good and we do not have to go to stores to buy velbges.
  • We learn many things in the garden like how to plant things and what taste sweet, sour, good and sometimes dilicious.
  • We have learned to take care of the garden by planting, doing fun activities and seeing unseeable things.

5th Graders

Question was "What impact has the garden had on you?"

  • It helps me learn outside of school. It let me be able to smell different smells. I like to taste things in our garden.
  • It makes me feel like I'm in the beginning of the USA by planting foods to eat. It helps me make good food choices when I'm shopping with my folks.
  • It helps us in health by trying good foods.
  • It helps us eat healthy and get all kinds of vitamins.
  • helps us how to plant stof so when we grow up we will know how to plant and have a garden of your own.
  • I like to walk around and pik up thags around the garden. I plant and help other people.
  • It makes me think about plants everyday. I always want plant plants in my backyard sine I have started planting in ower garden. I have always whated to do a garden. I think of our school garden it is my garden.
  • It is special to have a garden at shcool. Not all shcool's have gardens.
  • The garden has made me more interested in fruit and vegetables. I used to hate working in the garden but now I know what I am doing it is not that bad. It take resonsibility to work in the garden. Because if you weren't responsible the plants would die.
  • We talk about eating healthy things like vegetables.
  • The garden helps me on learning because we do alot with the garden. It also influence me to have a garden of my own. I think it helps me learn alot.
  • The garden also make us curious.
  • I think it's exiting when you eat something fresh from a garden than a store.
  • It helps our learning because we can experience all what is happening.
  • People doesn't have to wast there mony on grosres.
  • So every Wednesday at garden time I know it will be a very fun 45 minutes!
