Doreen Cronin

Farmer Brown has a problem. His cows like to type. All day long he hears Click, clack, MOO. Clickety, clack, MOO. But Farmer Brown’s problems REALLY begin when his cows start leaving him notes… “Dear Farmer Brown, The barn is very cold at night. We’d like some electric blankets. Sincerely, The Cows.” When Farmer Brown denies the cows’ request, the bovine organizers go on strike. Cronin humorously turns the tables on conventional barnyard dynamics.

You learn a bit about worms and keeping a diary–and you get plenty of laughs. (For instance, one page reads “June 15 – My older sister thinks she’s so pretty. I told her that no matter how much time she spends looking in the mirror, her face will always look just like her rear end.” See?)
