Making Cornbread

On a sunny afternoon in early winter, first grade students at Isaac Dickson Elementary School in Asheville, NC, learned to make cornbread from locally grown corn.

With a little help from Farm and Sparrow Bakery, the students ground their own corn flour and cooked up cornbread in the school’s outdoor oven. We just loved this photo and had to share.
