Get Local @ School Materials

Our Get Local @ School materials are an effective strategy for introducing local, seasonal fruits and vegetables to students.

Recipes, Stickers & Bookmarks

Thanks to grant support, the Get Local @ School materials listed below are available for FREE to pre-K through 12 educators and school nutrition professionals located in ASAP’s Appalachian Grown region! Items can be picked up at our office in Asheville, or mailed if needed. If you are outside the Appalachian Grown region, please email growingminds@nullasapconnections.org to inquire about materials. 

  • I tried local… fruit/veggie stickers
  • 3 x 5″ recipe cards (tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, potatoes, sweet potatoes, apples (3 versions), lettuce, greens (2 versions), strawberries, summer squash, berries, sweet pepper)
  • 12 month local produce bookmarks
  • 12 month local produce posters
